Desktop Can’t find IP Address

Without any identifiable changes, my desktop PC stopped accessing the internet. I am connect via 2Wire through DSL. The 2Wire icon indicates that the portal can not connect. When I go through the troubleshooting, reset the modem, try to disable and enable the ethernet card it still doesn’t work. I tried shutting down Kaspersky and AT&T security but still nothing. I have uninstalled the drivers for the ethernet card and rebooted to see if it would reset. The only message I did get was when I tried to repair the ethernet card it indicated it failed to query the TCP/IP settings of the connection. Any ideas or other things I can try? Thanks for any help you can give me.

You may have had your ethernet card or your highspeed modem go bad on you. You can contact AT&T and, using your customer information, they can try to “ping” your pc to see if it is working online properly. If they can find and access the DSL modem, then it is most likely a faulty network card and will need to be replaced.
